Time Flies!

When we moved to LA two years ago our family looked like that...

And now our family looks like this...

I feel like we came with two babies (1 month, and 21 months) and are leaving with little boys (2 and 3.5)! We have grown so much here and are definitely going to miss it and all the good memories we made here.

On We Go

Looks like its our time to be moving on as well.
Jared has landed some work for a consulting company who will be flying him to Portland part time for a few weeks, and we've decided to move out to save some money. I will be traveling around with the little guys visiting family while he works and having a fun summer.

Its hard to say where we will be moving next, but he has a few more permanent leads around, like Huntington Beach, Glendora, San Diego, Phoenix, to name a few.

I have been feeling all kinds of emotions once we made the choice to move out.

Things I will NOT miss

1. Easily, the traffic is #1!! It takes me 4o min to get to the boy's pediatrician 7 miles away.

2. Prices of everything are so much more, especially rent.

3. People being everywhere I go all the time. Totally making me claustrophobic. It makes it all dirtier and drives me insane during flu season.

4. Living with the freeway in our backyard. The air is nasty!

5. Inconveniences: lack of parking, living on the 3rd floor (no elevators, mind you), waiting in long lines everywhere, etc.

Things I will miss

1. The amazing people we have met here, and living so close to many of them!

2. The incredible weather all.year.long. Seriously bumming about this one guys.

3. Being miles from the beach. I love nothing more than waking up to the sea fog in the mornings, driving up the hill and seeing the coast below. Amazing.

4. The excitement of the city. There is always something to do.

5. Only our favorite place in the whole world.... Disneyland!!!

... Now What?

After years of planning and two years of hard work, Jared graduated from his MHA program. He was in the top 10 percent, and still managed to hang out with us a good amount too.

So... now what?! It feels like we spent the last 5 years preparing for this moment and now we're finally here, unsure of what the next step is. What happens after grad school?

Jared has been on the job market for about a month and has been doing his best to stay patient and positive. It has been difficult to see many of our fellow grad friends move out and onto greater things, but we are hopeful our time will come eventually! We have made an official decision to move out of our apartments at the end of the month with or without a job, and living temporarily out of our suitcases in a few different places. I am not sure if I am preparing for goodbyes to LA and our friends or whether we will end up staying around here. I would like to have a change of scenery but also feel so truly blessed to have met such wonderful people here and would like to stick around as well.

I feel confident that I can be happy anywhere and look forward to knowing what the Lord's plan is for us for the next couple years.
