Ok, here it goes.
I get kind of sick of people looking down on me for getting married and having a baby young. I'm in my "early twenties" we'll say, I got a lot of life left, I get it. Scientifically speaking, however, women's bodies are manufactured to deliver the healthiest babies at my age, not in their 30's as some seem believe. As a pregnant woman I enjoyed great health, low blood pressure, in addition to low blood sugar. Two moms I met in my mom's group, each who had kids near 40, experienced gestational diabetes. Why does that happen? Because you're OLD!!
People who marry young may do so too quickly without really knowing the person, which I could see. But does everyone do that? No. I marvel every day at how wonderful a husband I picked for myself at 19.
I found me a winner at 18Not everyone uses college to party, some actually have significant life experiences (in addition to getting married, of course). If we require our youth to be responsible citizens, then they will make responsible decisions.
Ok, I am finished now :)

Amen. People probably think we're freaks. But it is okay because at least we can still get our bodies back at this age.
PS.. I was looking at your Aunt Amy's photos and they are amazing. I LOVE how clean they look - they are beautiful. Anyway, if you could do a favor for me . .could you ask her how she does it? I mean, it's pure talent obviously, but I'm just curious to know what lenses and editing program she uses. Thanks Paigey!
This kind of attitude is pretty prevalent in California, I remember dreading telling people I was getting married, because without fail the following comment was always "but you are so young". I so get it!
Paige,
You sound a bit riled up on this subject. Did something happen to make you so passionate about this subject? Is it not crazy that you have a one year old? It was like yesterday that you and Jared were engaged. Time flies when lots happen in your life. Your blog is cute and it is fun to catch up on your little family.
