Summertime!

It is officially summertime for me and Nicholas (with the exception of this week-- more on that later). We went on our first trip this last weekend, totally on a whim. You can tell I lack spontaneity now, considering how excited I was about that. The senario goes as follows:
I talked to my mom on wednesday and she told me of her big surprise- she was going to AZ to my cousin Shea's wedding reception, and no one knew except my grandma. I had the genius idea of surprising her, and showing up in AZ as well! We made my flight (thanks Dad!) and I flew in the next day to my grandma's. I was so excited in anticipation of the trip that I couldn't sleep the night before we left!

We had a really fun weekend there, despite it's short duration, and we're excited to be back there again at the end of next month.

Well we returned here on sunday, enjoyed the holiday with Jared, and this week I am working again. The assignment was for 2 weeks, but I only wanted to do one, considering it's fulltime. I do enjoy working, but its hard to be away for so long. Sabrina has been meeting me at my lunch break and it makes the days go faster when I get some midday baby time!
Next weekend we're on the road again, this time to LA and Newport for Jared's old roommate's wedding. I am so excited to see our friends who live down there!! Give me a call if any of you are around and want to catch up!
The day after we get back from LA Nikko and I are heading to Utah! I am also very excited for that trip. I am looking forward to seeing everyone, especially all my cousins, and eating my favorite foods like Costa Vida! Please call me too if anyone else wants to make plans there.
Poor Jared will be stuck here without us for a while this summer :(

Pictures...

Not much going on this week, but next will be super busy! I'm going to be working again Tu-F all day, with Grandma as the babysitter.

Here are some fun pictures with the new camera.....

Yay for May

We are very happy today. Nicholas and I enjoyed a few errands and bagel breakfast this morning, and now we're delighted to spend a relaxing day at home before the busy day tomorrow.

We got a new camera that we are very excited about. I could not believe how expensive these things are! You have all these other separate items to buy too. It really hit our band account hard but you can't argue with the difference in quality. Now all I have to do is figure out what the million dials mean... Just what I want to do this evening... Cuddle up on the couch with a mug of soup and the camera manual....

Here's my boys, called a "two peas, one pod" shot (phrased coined by Jared).

April showers bring May chaos....

I had a very interesting week to say the least...

In the Cordon family, the month of May, and April to an extent, is very busy. We have our anniversary the end of April, Jared's birthday in May, then Chad's (Jared's older brother), then his parent's anniversary. We spent Jared's birthday watching Iron Man (I'd give it a 6 out of 10), making every meal he wanted and letting him enjoy his day off. He requested fresh homemade salsa, so I spent a bit of the afternoon chopping. I am extremely reactive to cutting onion so I had to wear the motorcycle helmet to avoid the pain, which in turn nearly suffocated me. I am a very dedicated wife.

The next day I worked at my old temp job to see how it felt to be out again in the workplace. I was hoping that time would help me make my decision about whether to go to school again or do part-time work. I was expecting that it would be a horrible day, but it actually wasn't that bad. I'm completely sure I wont do full time while I have babies at home. Its too hard and I miss him too much when its all day. His great-grandma Drena watched him in the morning, then she brought him to me to feed, and I passed him off to his Grandma Cordon for the afternoon. Nicholas just loves him Grandma! She is his favorite female, besides me of course :) and he always gives her big smiles as if to say "I'm so glad you're home!". He also adores his Grandpa Mike. No matter how bad of a mood Nikko is in his grandpa can always coax a smile out of him. I have to say that is the very best part of being here, having Nicholas know and love his Grandparents!!
