La Jolla

Unfortunately for Jared, his work schedule keeps him from joining us on many fun trips, but lucky for my schedule I am free for some fun anytime!

J's family came down to San Diego a few weeks ago and we had lots of fun all in one cool mansion, playing pool, swimming in the real pool, foosball, lots of cooking, and card games too... Not to mention getting spoiled for my birthday!!! We had so much fun, especially with "Baby Dax".

Baby's Birthday

Today is our sweet little boy's birthday.

He has been a joy to our family, bringing happiness and lots of love. Anyone who knows him will attest that he is a sweetheart with an easy, warm smile.

My pregnancy with him was a bit more difficult, and the labor was short but very painful. I figured it meant he would be an easy baby, which definitely was true.

P90X Halfway Mark

To anyone else it may seem like our 90 days is flying by, but we have definitely felt each day pass! Looking back it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be after the first entire week's worth of workouts.

The hardest part of it all has been keeping motivated and committed when I am on vacation. Some nights I just want to watch TV and go to sleep rather than 1 1/2 hrs of yoga.
On the flip side, the best parts have been seeing results and feeling good. Its not exactly a novel concept, but the exercise has helped me to feel better and sleep better. I have felt a lot of improvement in my abs and legs, and Jared has in his shoulders and arms.

(I will work on posting pics of us here, but our laptop is broken right now)

We've already started talking about what we will do after we finish. Maybe a marathon, who knows!

Carlsbad Week

It all began with a birthday extravaganza, as Morgan, baby Amber, me and Ryker all were celebrating (technically we should have thrown in Lorrie, Claire, and my Dad too)

The best birthday gift was a kid-free evening walk down the beach to catch the sunset. Unfortunately it was a bit cloudy, but still beautiful.

Paige at 24 yrs, 0 days

The kids loved the Aquarium, especially the sharks (Kenz, Jake, the boys)

Grandpa Williams- always a crowd favorite

The Armenian cafe, best breakfast ever. And to think my Dad almost banned it this year!

Kiki and Jake enjoyed some fun kid rides at Knott's.

We all went on the kid's bus ride. Ryker loved it!

Mini big-rig trucks. Everyone gets a steering wheel
We all went on the log ride. I DO NOT recommend it for infants, unless you like feeling that they could fall out of your arms at any minute. Think of taking your 1 yr old on Splash Mountain... Not ideal

Post- rapids. We all got wet but Kenz was soaked head-to-toe!
(I did NOT take Ryker on that one!)

Opa and Roo at the beach. Ryker loved the water. He would kick and squeal each time the artic waters touched his toes. It was seriously frigid!Kiki with his other best gf, Devon. I just wish she could live by us and babysit!!

Kiki was one of "the guys" watching Star Wars, complete with the popcorn

Ryker was my buddy. He is such a sweetheart with the best goofy grin

Family photo, moments before our departure.

We can't wait for next year! Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa.
