6 Months

Where has the time gone? Our little guy is now 6 months old and counting. Jared commented today, "now we're gonna be those parents who say "remember when...?" and actually have something 'back in the day' to talk about!" It really is going quickly and we truly are grateful for each and every moment with the little boy.

Our new obsession is swimming. Danville has been hitting record highs this past week and we've taken up with wading in an inflatible pool, one at our home and one at a friend's house. Now that Nicholas can sit

unassisted for hours on end, he really enjoys the water!

Trip to the "Holy Land"

We had an incredible time in Utah!!! We were so busy it seems like we need some relaxing this week. I was so happy to be able to see so many friends and family members while being there, I only wish I spent more timewith everyone. Its a possibility that we might head back there next month maybe.

Monday we arrived in the evening, tuesday we shopped with Rachel and her adorable baby girl, McKayla, Nicholas' current love interest. He liked to giggle at her and occasionally try to eat her head. The cutest though was when he gave her a kiss (yes-- the best trick ever) and slobber was all over her chubby cheeks. They were so cute together!

Wednesday we went to lunch at one of our favorite places- Legends Grill on BYU campus. Their grilled salmon is my absolute favorite! I got to catch up with my good friend from New Jersey, Anna.

Then for dinner we had another favorite, Brick Oven pizza! We went with the ever-pregnant Jordan, a friend from Switzerland.

Thursday was a family day, and all the ladies headed up to Park City for outlet shopping and a heavy dose of fresh mountain air. When we got back I was able to see my cousins Rachel and Melissa, along with Melissa's husband Garrett. We ate at another favorite place, Guru's. I confess a large motive for my trip was the food :) Then Saturday morning we headed back home!!

LA trip

We had a really fun weekend catching up with friends and family in LA over our brief time there!
We left here at 4:30 pm, arriving just after 12 due to an incident with Mike's bike. It actually got loose on the rack and started dangling off the car while we were driving 70 mph. Very scary, and veeery annoying, considering this happened 1 hr. into the trip!
Friday was a non-eventful day for me, but Jared went to the sealing of his old mission companion and roommate to his new wife, Megan. He was very happy to be able to go, and it was the motivation to get us down there in the first place. We wish you lots of happiness Taylor and Megan Dicou!!
Saturday was my fun day because I was able to go to the beach with my old rommies and bf's, Darci and Karyna! It was so much fun to see them again and catch up. I wish we lived much closer. It was also a moment of realizing how incredibly pasty I am. Wow.
Today me and Nikko are leaving again, this time for Utah! We are soooo excited!!

(sorry these pictures aren't as quality as the others-- its from our old camera)

Time for a close-up

We are having so much fun with our new camera! I'm still learning how to take better shots indoors, and I'll probably do a photography class at our local community college.
Nicholas out in the back yard, loving the bouncer, on our bed, and his first taste of rice cereal!
